VOLUNTEERING

Would you like to volunteer to work with KTS here in Patan, Nepal? We welcome overseas visitors who are interested in the work we are doing and would like to offer their skills and services. These might include teaching in the School, helping look after the children in the Orphanage, working with our producers to develop their knitting and weaving skills, running workshops for KTS staff or helping us with marketing and business practices. There is much work to be done and we welcome your ideas.

As a non-profit NGO, we do not have funds available to support a volunteer programme. We, therefore, ask our volunteers to contribute towards the cost of the food (three meals a day) and comfortable accommodation in our family home that is offered to all our visitors. This is currently NPR700 (US$10) per day. Volunteers are also responsible for their own travel costs, in-country expenses and medical insurance cover.
