Orphanage Hostel

The orphanage was developed gradually as people, police, welfare agencies and concerned individuals brought orphan children to us from the streets, broken families and half-way homes. For many of these children, Kumbeshwar was the first stable home environment they experienced.

Thanks to the kind support of the Liechtenstein Development Service, who provided the funds, and architect David Potter, who both designed the hostel building and supervised its construction free of charge, we were able to build the current hostel building.

Its facilities include a basic basketball court, table-tennis board, etc. as well as two dormitories and a kitchen/dining area. The children are provided with 4 balanced, nutritious meals a day. Once the children have completed their education, have their own source of income and feel comfortable about living on their own, they leave the hostel to be replaced by other children in need of help.

The costs are met by two main sources of income, the Kumbeshwar Kids membership scheme, and sales of KTS products.

If you would like to help the hostel by sponsoring a child or becoming a 'Worldwide Friend of Kumbeshwar Kids', please Contact us.
