The carpentry training is going smoothly. Most of the trainees are rehabilitated street boys from the organization called Shangrila Home Centre in Kathmandu. This year 11 trainees joined in the first year and 5 trainees continued 2nd year. At the end of the year 4 trainees dropped out and 12 trainees completed the training. The Carpentry training started from 1st February 08.

The carpentry training course is based on 80% practical and 20% theory. During the training the trainees learn about different types of furniture making.

The school arranged for the trainees to take carpentry level II skill test exam conducted by Skill Test under CTEVT (Centre for Technical Education and Vocational Training) and get certificate of Technical SLC level. This certificate is recognised by the Government and is good to get job in Government. Therefore the training is very appropriate to low educated poor people to get job.

The graduates get job opportunities anywhere. More than 90% graduates are utilising their skills.
